Welcome to the World of The Lotus Circle

My name is Dr. Olivia Crandall. I am a professor of parapsychology, but this website has more to do with my ancestry than my academic credentials.
From the moment I was born, my mother began training me for the role I would play in changing the world, just as her mother had prepared her for the part she was destined to fill. It had fallen to the women of our family line to resurrect the ancient secret society of The Lotus Circle.
Legend has it that The Lotus Circle first came together in ancient Egypt, where the lotus flower was associated with various gods, including Ra. Kadesh, the goddess of sexuality and fertility, was traditionally depicted holding lotus flowers, and many believe that she was the founder of the Circle.
According to the story that has been handed down over the millennia since then, The Lotus Circle consisted of women with exceptional psychic abilities. Members of the group were telepaths, clairvoyants, healers and practitioners of various metaphysical skills, such as astrology and forecasting with tools, like cards and stones. Their gifts and talents were revered by pharaohs and slaves alike and it was their sacred oath to help anyone in need, regardless of their station in life.
It was up to each member of the group to share her knowledge with her daughters, and for at least a thousand years, that wisdom, along with awareness of The Lotus Circle, was passed on.
Then the world began to change. Ambitious men of politics and religion felt threatened by the gifted females. They feared that the women might one day use their unique abilities to usurp their powers. Thus, they calculated schemes to gain control of The Lotus Circle or destroy it. They restricted women’s freedoms, killed and enslaved any who dared defy their authority, until the women of The Lotus Circle were forced into secrecy. Each time someone was caught using her abilities, she was swiftly dealt with—remember Joan of Arc, the Spanish Inquisition, the Salem Witchcraft Trials.
Not only were gifted women no longer revered, being a member of The Lotus Circle was akin to risking death. Gradually, over the centuries, the secret society was virtually wiped out. Only a small number of women retained the memory of its existence and the obligation to keep the heart of The Lotus Circle beating, until the world was ready for enlightenment, until the time was right.
Until now.
My mother taught me how to use the power of my mind to alter circumstances, create opportunities, and communicate with beings of other dimensions. I became a parapsychologist to find scientific explanations for what I could do and to help others do the same. As soon as I had learned as much as I could, I wrote a book about the Universal Laws of Synchronicity and Attraction. Officially, I took a sabbatical from the university to go on a promotional tour, but the real reason was much more important to me than selling a book. I had set off to find four other descendants of the ancient secret society.
Five gifted women were required to rebuild the heart and, from there, we would be able to resurrect The Lotus Circle and bring it back out into the light. There were times, while I traveled from city to city around the globe, that I grew weary of the search, but then, at a national wellness conference in Sedona, Arizona, the time was finally right.
As usual during my lecture, I spoke about The Lotus Circle. For the first time, however, two women came up afterward to ask me questions about it.
Ursula Milkovich recalled her Russian grandmother telling her stories about it when she was very young, but her mother had insisted it was just an old woman’s imagination. Unbeknownst to her mother, however, Grandmama had introduced Ursula to the basic elements of astrology and she now has a successful astrology site on the internet.
Leilani Wakefield had no memory of anyone mentioning The Lotus Circle before, but when I spoke the words, she felt a shiver of confirmation run through her body. A feeling she had long ago learned not to ignore. She owns a small bookstore in Melbourne Beach, Florida, but occasionally uses her gifts to assist the local police. Leilani is a lucid dreamer who receives images or messages while she is asleep.
The three of us went to lunch and I filled them in on the history of The Lotus Circle. Overhearing pieces of our discussion, our waitress, Rainy, introduced herself as possibly being one of the women I was searching for. Her full name is Temperance Rey, named after her mother’s favorite Tarot card. Rainy’s mother had told her all she knew about the group and taught her the skill that had been handed down to her by her own mother. Rainy’s other job was as a tarot reader at a nearby new age store.
Suddenly, we were four and, since our initials were L-O-T-U, by the laws of synchronicity, I knew we would soon find the fifth member to complete the heart and that her name would begin with the letter “S.” After Rainy got off work, we stayed up most of the night exchanging ideas of how to bring the Lotus Circle to the public once again. There was no doubt that the internet was the key. With a web site, we could reach the entire world, bringing education, entertainment, metaphysical tools and services, as well as a safe place to network with other gifted women.
Rainy went with us to the airport the next morning so that we could continue brainstorming. While heading for the security checkpoint, our attention was grabbed by a man coughing uncontrollably at a food counter. It was quickly evident that he was unable to catch his breath. A clerk behind the counter rushed out saying he knew the Heimlich maneuver, and quickly began to perform it. The victim did not respond to the clerk’s efforts, and began to lose consciousness. Amongst the chaos, a woman in the gathering crowd stepped forward, saying that the man was not choking on food, but having an allergic reaction.
The four of us stood there, captivated by the scene. Not one of us felt an urge to interfere with the woman making her way toward the man, who was now on his knees. We watched in awe as she placed one hand on the man’s chest and one on his back. She then closed her eyes and took several slow deep breaths. Within seconds, the man stopped gasping and took a regular breath.
The man tried to keep her there, but she assured him that the paramedics were on their way and that he would be fine. She quickly slipped back into the crowd, but we instinctively moved as one to intercept her. I was about to assure her that we meant no harm, but her eyes were filled with peace, and a sense of knowing. Her gaze moved from one of us to the other and I realized that she was reading our individual and combined auras.
After a moment, she smiled and urged us to follow her away from the crowd. She told us her name is Sadira...the “S” I had expected. But fate had a small surprising confirmation for me, when she further explained that her name is the Persian word for Lotus Tree...and she had been expecting us.
That was last year. I am very happy to say that we have now met our goal of resurrecting the Lotus Circle and bringing the ancient knowlege back into the public domain through this website.
Finally, since every group should have a mission statement, here’s ours:
We want everyone to know what we know. |
